Peer Community In (PCI) provides free preprint recommendations based on transparent peer reviews. Recommended preprints can be published in the Diamond Open Access Peer Community Journal.

There are already 20 PCIs in various scientific fields: Archaeology, Animal Science, Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, Ecotoxicology and Environmental Chemistry, Genomics, Forest and Wood Science, Health and Movement Science, Infections, Mathematical and Computational Biology, Microbiology, Network Science, Neuroscience, Nutrition, Organization Studies, Paleontology, Psychology and Zoology.

The PCI family keeps growing, and many disciplines remain to be covered. Hence, we encourage scientists to lead the creation of new discipline-focused PCIs in:

  • Formal sciences: logic, mathematics, theoretical computer science, information theory, systems theory, decision theory, statistics, …
  • Physical sciences: physics, chemistry, astronomy, earth sciences, …
  • Life sciences: biochemistry, cellular biology, developmental biology, …
  • Human and Social Sciences: anthropology, economics, education, history, geography, law, linguistics, political science, …
  • Interdisciplinary sciences: agricultural sciences, medicine, engineering, …

Creating a PCI requires convincing other scientists from your research field to be involved (as editors and authors). The PCI organisation covers all costs associated with new PCIs.

If you wish to create a new PCI, we encourage you to:
