Submit to other journals

If authors wish to submit their recommended preprints to other journals than PCJ or PCI-friendly journals, they are free to do so but should be aware that their manuscript may not necessarily be considered. This is because not all journals consider PCI-recommended preprints in the same way.

Journals committed to using PCI evaluations if appropriate

These journals consider submissions of articles recommended by a PCI and they may use PCI reviews and recommendations for their own review processes, if appropriate.

• The journals do not automatically accept PCI-recommended articles but have agreed to the following commitment: The journals will consider submissions of articles recommended by a PCI and they may use PCI reviews and recommendations for their own review processes, if appropriate.
• In case of acceptance, we recommend the journal to display clearly on the homepage of the article a note indicating that the evaluation process was carried out entirely or partly by PCI, of the following type:

Journals that are not listed may belong to two other categories:

PCI-tolerant journals

Journals that do not use the reviews posted in PCI but seek their own reviewers. There is no list for these journals but we strongly advise authors to send their preferred journal a presubmission inquiry.

PCI-unfriendly journals

Journals that do not accept the submission of PCI-recommended preprints. There is no list for these journals but we strongly advise authors to send their preferred journal a presubmission inquiry.
