The Editors-in-Chief of the following journals have indicated (or have been asked by their scientific Society) they will consider submissions of recommended preprints and that they may use PCI reviews and recommendations for their own review processes, if appropriate:

Evaluation committees

CoNRS

Section 29 [of the National Committee of the Scientific Research] will consider articles recommended by PCI Evol Biol as an article published in an indexed scientific journal

‘During all its work (evaluations, promotions, competitions…), Section 52 [of the National Committee of the Scientific Research] will consider the articles recommended by PCI Evol Biol, PCI Ecology and PCI Paleo in the same way as an article published in an indexed scientific journal. This measure will be extended to any other variations of PCI that may emerge.’

cnu‘In all its work (qualifications, promotions, PEDR and career monitoring,…), the CNU 67 section will consider the productions recommended by PCI in the same way as articles published in scientific index journals.’

With regard to the quality charter developed by the Peer Community in (PCI) (PCI Evol Biol, PCI Ecology and PCI Paleontology), the Capture d_écran 2018-07-23 à 11.14.59Doctoral School “Materials, Radiation and Environmental Sciences” (ED SMRE)(University of Lille Nord de France) considers that a preprint recommended by a PCI is equivalent to a publication in an indexed journal and in this respect joins the position taken by various French national evaluation councils (CSS INRA BPE, sections 29 and 52 of the CoNRS, section CNU 67)

ED227‘With regard to the quality and ethics charter of the Peer Community in (PCI) Ecology, Evolutionary Biology and Paleontology, the Doctoral School ‘Sciences de la Nature et de l’Homme : écologie & évolution’ (ED 227, MNHN- Sorbone Université) considers that recommendation by a PCI is equivalent to publication in the best journals in the field.’

With regard to the quality and ethics charter of the Peer Community in (PCI) Ecology, Evolutionary Biology and Paleontology, the Doctoral School in Plant Sciences: from Gene to ecosystem (ED 567, Paris-Saclay University) considers that a preprint recommended by a PCI is equivalent to a publication in the best journals of the field.

With regard to the quality and ethics charter of the Peer Community inED Sciences de la Mer et du Littoral(PCI) Ecology, Evolutionary Biology and Paleontology, the Doctoral School ED598 (ED 598, Sciences de La Mer et du Littoral, Université Bretagne Loire) considers that a preprint recommended by a PCI is equivalent to a publication in the best journals of the field.’
