PCI and preregistrations:

PCI Ecology welcomes the submission of preregistrations. A preregistration is a detailed plan of research, made in advance, before you gather data. It includes details about the hypothesis to be tested, protocols, statistical treatments. A preregistration can be submitted to PCI Ecology, evaluated through peer-review, and lead to an editorial decision (reject, modify, recommendation). If a preregistration is recommended, you then conduct your study, post a preprint at a repository, and then submit the preprint to PCI Ecology for the final stage of peer review. Obtaining negative results won’t result in rejection of your preprint.

Newsletter #1, 10th August 2018

We’ll be at Evolution2018, like 99 recommenders of Peer Community In
  • there will be a PCI stand where you could meet Ruth Hufbauer, François Massol, Tim Coulson, Denis Bourguet Margarita Correa, Thomas Guillemaud, and maybe others
  • nice badges of  PCI will be freely distributed. Just come over.
  • we’ll give a short talk about PCI during the Sunday workshop ‘MAKING SCIENCE GREAT AGAIN’ between 12h30-13h40 in Antigone 1 room

We’ll have one #PeerCommunityIn recommender badge per recommender + 500 general badges for all attendees of Evolution2018. Just visit our stand to get one. Recommenders of @PCI_Ecology, @PCI_Paleo and @PCIEvolBiol welcome! All other attendees too (of course).

After the support of the American Society for the Study of Evolution (SSE), the Spanish society (SESBE), and the French one (SFE2) to PCI, here are 2 new supports of the Nordic Society Oikos and the Portuguese society of evolutionary Biology (APBE).
